Enable board protection
After you install Card Vault+ and connect your account, the board needs to be protected — this registers the board with Card Vault+ and starts saving snapshots.
What happens when protection starts
When you first open the Card Vault+ board dashboard on a board:
- Card Vault+ enables protection for that board.
- A background sync queues all current cards on the board.
- Card badges and dashboard counts update as snapshots are saved.
You may see a message like "Syncing all board cards in the background…". Reload the board after a minute to refresh badges.
Check that protection is working
Open the Card Vault+ board button and review the dashboard header:
- Protected cards — cards with at least one saved snapshot
- Recoverable — cards that no longer exist on the board but have snapshots
- Snapshots saved — total snapshot count for the board
- Last sync — when the board last synced successfully
If counts stay at zero after several minutes, open Settings and check webhook status, or save a manual snapshot on one card to verify the connection.
